Husband and wife team, Brooke Balderson and Noah Wright, are the masterminds behind all we do here at the Oz Winery, including all the fun names!
Brooke is a Wamego native and the 4th generation of the Balderson family to operate a hometown business. She is a graduate of Kansas State University, and a certified pastry chef from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh, PA.
Noah Wright, head winemaker of the Oz Winery, was born and raised in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. In addition to his degrees from K-State and Chatham College, Noah is a certified wine professional from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, CA
When Brooke and Noah are not working at the winery, or in the vineyard, they spend time with their two lovely children, their pets, and their family; hoping one day, their kids will be as excited about wine and grapes as they are.
Our tasting room staff is comprised of teachers, students, and enthusiasts with a shared love of wine. No matter what time of day or day of the week, we are always eager to help you find what you're looking for! There's no off-season in the cellar. Wine making is an active process day in and day out. Our cellar team is attentive and passionate about their work, and that certainly comes out in all of our wines.
